God’s Silly Vassal Part Two
Well, I posted this quote from James I of England’s book:
loathsome to the eye, hateful to the nose, harmful to the brain, dangerous to the lungs, and in the black stinking fumes thereof nearest resembling the horrible stigient smoke of that pit that is bottomless.
And Have to say, the guy as the above quote shows was a genius of the literary art. A real famouse writer if ever I met one. (no offence to other different types of famouse writers) but, from his earlier literary attempts he then went and outdid himself by writing The book of Sports He was incensed by and thought the Puritan way of keeping the Sabbath day Holy much too strict so set out to tempt them towards Jesuitism. After the morning service, (in his said book) the people were to be instructed to take part in any recreations made available to them. Remember what the Scriptures explicitly says about the Sabbath. Ex 20:8 Meditating on the Word was to be strictly discouraged! Because that may just lead them towards truth and become thinking people, like the puritans were. And thinking Christians who found there lives in the Word of God can never co-exist with tyranny, and there was no more tyrannical King than James I of England. He ordered that his book of sports should be read from every pulpit. Many puritans flat out refused, and for there crimes were driven out of there jobs into poverty and often banishment. Others stood up and did as King James I wanted and read his book of sports, they immediately followed this by reading of the 4th commandment exhorting God’s word over that of any man, which of course immediately negated the first reading from the Kings Book. But the people of England in those days, refused to turn the day into one of sport and recreation. These days it would be harder to stop people from doing so than to try and get them to do so. But the people of all creeds were conscious that James Tyranny which by 1620 was in full force, was robbing them of any liberty and freedom. And they started to resist. The book of sports probably did more than anything else for America to come into being, as basically the puritans who were the Pilgrim Fathers were so offended by it, they would not and could not tolerate it, and would rather leave the country and the tyrannical king than have to submit to his blasphemous rule. No doubt there maybe a Part trios on good ole boy King James I great pervert and tyrant that he was!! But see? A genius of the literay word if ever I saw one was ole James!!
