Beware of False Teachers
If ever there was a warning in the shape of an historic figure, that warning comes in the form of Jacob Arminius. Most false teachers never stand up and say as they get into the pulpit on a Lord’s Day morning, I’m about to teach you some heresy this morning.â€Â They use subtlety to cover it as being the truth, and often being the same as orthodox teachers teach only in “modern languageâ€Â or “different words. This is what Jacob Arminius did. Hard to believe he went to Calvin’s school in Geneva after Calvin had died and was taught by Calvin’s successor, Theodore Beza. Yet he never did quite fit in there. And after that, started to teach his doctrines under the guise of them being orthodox and faithful to the bible and the reformed faith, yet all the time teaching heresy. Arminius started out as a lone voice in his heretical teachings, but it soon started to infect the entire loaf as leaven always does. And now today in our countries the Arminians are the majority, with what started out by one man, (bit like Romans says sin entered the world by one man) while all the time constantly assuring he was adhering to and being faithful to orthodox Biblical teaching, but in actual fact teaching nothing but damnable heresy and spread that heresy to take hold in churches and countries till the truth became the minority. But like all bully boys. (And under Arminiansm only tyranny can prevail), he would never defend his views until summonsed to in 1609, and that thought so scared him, he had a heart attack and died. Jacob Arminius must have been a gift to Satan, to take salvation away wholly from the grace of God and share it between God and man. Calvinists have their T.U.L.I.P which includes eternal security in Perserverance of the Saint’s. Arminians have their daisies which goes, “he loves me, He loves me not” King James I of England and VI of Scotland, great pervert and tyrant that he was, will still have to wait to get his conclusion blagged.
